Export - Acisout command in AutoCAD - EXPORT ACIS SAT FILES

You can export certain types of objects into ACIS files in ASCII format (SAT).You can export NURBS surfaces that are trim, domain (regions) and 3D solids to ACIS file in ASCII format (SAT). Other objects such as: lines and arcs are ignored.Use the ACISOUTVER system variable to determine the ACIS version of SAT files exported using the ACISOUT command . ACISOUT only one of the values 15, 18, 20, 21, 30, 31, 40, 50, 60 and 70 of ACISOUTVER ; The default value is 70.

Create ACIS file - Export command

Call the File Export .... Export Data At the Command prompt dialog box , enter export.

In the Export Data dialog box , enter the file name

Under Files of Type , select the ACIS format (* .sat).

Click

Select objects: Select the objects you want to save as ACIS file until you press ENTER to finish the selection.

Extensions. sat is automatically attached to the file name .

Create ACIS file - ACISOUT command

Enter the ACISOUT command ¿the following prompt appears:

Select objects: Select the objects to create Acis files

Select objects : ¿The Create ACIS File dialog box appears

In the Create ACIS File dialog box , enter the file name in File Name

Click SavE Create ACIS file with Export - Acisout command in AutoCAD

Enter ACIS SAT F ile - ACISIN Order

You can import geometry objects saved in SAT (ASCII) files using the ACISIN command . ACISIN transforms the model into a body object or into a solid object ( 3D solids ) and domain ( regions ) if the body is solid or real.The import order is as follows:

Select Insert ACIS File ... the Select ACIS File At the Command prompt dialog box appears , enter acisin.

In the Select ACIS File dialog box , select the file you want to import
